Split the Screen
DISH lets you view two shows at once in a variety of ways. In addition to having a picture in picture, Multi-View offers a side-by-side split screen option. This lets you see more of the action instead of keeping the secondary screen small. To activate this option bring up the on-screen menu row and scroll over to the side by side option.

And when watching two shows just isn’t enough, switch to Multi-View mode and watch up to 4 live shows at once.

How to Activate Multi-View
Using the latest DISH remote (52.0 or 54.0 remote) press the Options button on the top of your remote. This opens a TV Viewing Options navigation. Select Picture in Picture. Then use the arrow button to adjust the size and location of the second screen. Your selected programming will play in the respective screens.
